The village of Loon lies within the five-star Drentsche Aa National Park, and is central to the Pieterpad walking route between Zuidlaren and Rolde (LAW 9-1). A multitude of walking or cycling paths lie at our doorstep.
Arjen Snijder is your host. Welcome to B&B AdamsAppel!
The bustly town centre of Assen is only a ten-minute drive from the AdamsAppel. Here you will find the Drents Museum with its contemporary exhibitions, as well as De Nieuwe Kolk theatre with a wide range of movies and plays. At the historic marketplace you will find several pubs and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink or a meal on one of the sunny terraces, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the marketplace.
During the final week of June Assen is transformed into a roaring bikers’ town for the annual, world famous TT motorcycle races.
The university town of Groningen is 20 miles north of Loon. Its lively town centre is easily accessible, both by car and by public transport. You can climb the Martini tower, visit the Groninger Museum or go on a shopping spree, as there are many exclusive little shops, right in the centre of town.
